Edit: Sorry, I was thinking it might be helpful if I could find out what was causing the problem, not verify the BIOS version. I'm back to the basics now and I'll try to get this sorted out by tonight (or tomorrow) and will be sending pics to you. Thank you!
Edit: I'm back again. After having all of the above attempts, I decided to just re-install. I did all the updates and 3Ds Max. It took 45 minutes to re-install because I had to do it all over again. I tried to do a clean install of windows but it kept'searching' for the 'lodconfig' file (I think that's what it is called) and I couldn't get it. I ended up having to do a re-install of windows. My desktop looks like this now:
Edit: I'm not much of a computer guy. I'm pretty much a graphics guy. I'm kind of living in a in a bit of a state of denial. I'm trying to get everything sorted out and in order. I'm dreading re-installing 3Ds Max and seeing what I get. Would be a major disaster. I'm kind of trying to keep my fingers crossed that this is a one off and there is a solution.
